- Rental and claim information: driver's license details, insurance carrier, policy and claim numbers, adjuster contact details, vehicle and repair-shop information, and rental dates.
- Payment information: details needed to process deposits, deductibles or other charges. Card payments are handled by our payment processors.
- Communications: records of calls, emails and text messages exchanged with us, including your SMS opt-in and opt-out choices.
- Website data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
2. How we use your information

If you opt in to text messages from MD Auto Rental, we use your mobile number to send the messages you agreed to receive. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again. We do not sell or share your mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All of the sharing categories described in this policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide our services:
- Insurance companies and adjusters handling your claim, so we can verify coverage and bill for your rental.
- Body shops repairing your vehicle, to coordinate rental timing.
- Service providers who help us operate our business (for example, phone and messaging platforms, payment processors and website hosting). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any of the parties above for their own marketing or any other purpose.
5. Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law or insurance regulations.
